During this talk, attendees will learn about recent outbreak investigation findings including risk factors for Salmonella transmission to young children from bearded dragons and other non-traditional pets. Attendees will hear vignettes illustrating a One Health approach to investigating animal contact outbreaks. The talk will also include practical Salmonella illness prevention messages for veterinarians to share with current and prospective bearded dragon owners and clients with other non-traditional pets.
