This course will help attendees understand the
challenges in assessing, stabilizing and providing appropriate nursing care for
cardiac patients. This course will outline pathophysiology in canine and feline
cardiac patients, and outline treatments utilized such as cardiac drugs, blood
pressure management, and oxygen support. Attendees will recognize appropriate
triage, handling for ordered diagnostic procedures, and safe nursing care to
help successfully stabilize and treat cardiac patients to discharge.
