This presentation on small animal hepatobiliary disease
will focus on elevated serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP) levels in dogs. It will
provide an algorithmic approach to determine the cause of an increased ALP
relying initially on careful consideration of signalment (particularly breed),
history and concurrent changes in clinical pathology.
This session originally was presented at AVMA Convention 2025 in conjunction
with the 40th World Veterinary Association Congress.
