This lecture will explore why the One Health framework is critical now more than ever and will make the case for urgent political action. Attendees will learn how the failure to pass this legislation leaves dangerous gaps in our preparedness, risking not only human lives but also the nation’s agricultural systems and economy. Participants will gain an understanding of how zoonotic diseases like H5N1 emerge, what tools we have to contain them, and why advocacy for strong legislative action is essential.
