The AVMA Animal Health Studies Database (AAHSD) provides current information about ongoing and completed veterinary clinical research studies to individuals, veterinary practitioners, and the public. Each study listing includes a summary of the study protocol, including the purpose, recruitment status, and eligibility criteria. Study locations and specific contact information are included to assist with enrollment of an animal into a relevant clinical study. Information on the AAHSD is provided and updated by the sponsor or principal investigator of the clinical study. Please direct questions about any study to the contacts listed for that study – the AVMA is unable to provide any further information about any study. The AAHSD is a free service maintained by the AVMA to assist owners and veterinarians locate clinical studies related to a specific condition, and to assist investigators recruit and enroll animals with specific conditions into their studies. The ultimate goal of this database is to improve animal health by accelerating the accumulation of knowledge to guide the practice of veterinary medicine.
